Twenty-three commercial airlines provide regular service to 10 Colorado cities, including smaller airports that serve as close gateways to many of the most popular mountain attractions.

Denver International Airport, the nation's sixth busiest, is served by 21 separate carriers, with direct flights to most major cities. Among these are international carriers British Airways, Lutfhansa, Mexicana and Air Canada. Most DIA passengers arrive on United Airlines or Frontier Airlines, both of which count Denver as a major hub. DIA also serves as center for shuttle service to outlying towns, mostly via United/United Express. Other major carriers include America West, American, Delta, Continental, ATA, Northwest, jetBlue, Spirit and US Airways.
